Housing Builder
Rural Workforce Housing Project
The Aurora Housing Development Corporation was awarded the $1,000,000 Rural Workforce Housing grant, a $250,000 NIFA matching grant, and raised $750,000 in additional funds to create a $2,000,000 revolving loan fund for rural workforce housing in 2021. This project will create housing in Aurora and Hamilton County for years to come. The initial project created with these funds will included a 64-lot subdivision with ten single family homes, and sixteen duplex townhomes in the Streeter Subdivision on the west side of Aurora. These funds continue to revolve through low-interest loans to builders during the construction phase. Please click the links below if you are builder wanting to build out this development.
